Washington Lyceum: “Darkness at Noon”

This living history program places guests in the setting of a town “lyceum” lecture conducted by two characters from Washington’s past, Dr. Benjamin Jett and Dr. Nathan Smith. Guests will play the role of citizens interested in learning more about the phenomenon of “eclipses” and how they affect life on earth. A discussion and friendly debate will concern the famous eclipse of 1806 and some interesting events related to it. This afternoon program will be held at the 1836 Courthouse. Admission is FREE.
